Note that GVariant generally doesn't have set functions. It's meant to
be an invariant type.

This C API corresponds to the immutable object interface category then.


That probably makes it unsuitable for general use anyway.

I guess that your class "Glib::Variant" makes it more convenient to work with them. Does it support to reset such a C++ variable to an instance which will be marked as "nothing"?
