I've realized (perhaps a bit late) that Phong Cao and I continued this
gtkmm-list thread without sending copies to the list. Not very nice of
us! I haven't saved every message in the thread, but this email and
another one that will soon follow, contain all info.

Hi Kjell,
Thank you for the response. I was also thinking that it might be the
static data members initialization that causes this error. The problem
is I dont know any other appropriate places to initialize them... ?

Attached with this email is the source code of this
program. I hope you guys can download & compile it in your
computer to see if it works. Just type "make" and
everything will be compiled... I wonder if there are even
errors in my Makefile.
Where's the attachment? I don't find any.

Hi,
I've downloaded your code, and had a very quick look at it. I wonder
if the problem can be with initialization of static data. E.g. near
the beginning of dingo-dbmanager.cc. Such initializations are
executed before main() is called.
You can see from where the critical messages are printed, if you use
gdb and set a breakpoint at function g_log.
I can check myself later, if necessary, but I haven't time to do it
right now.
