Well I'll come out of the woodwork for this one:

I've had my stich about 2 years now, and would highly recommend it.
It's saved my hide once already, so it has paid for itself. The stich took
the slide, not my skin. Is it too hot? Well, I think Henry said it
right....if it's too hot to wear the stich....should you really be riding?
On super hot days (the RCR this year), I've opened the top part of the
jacket. The air moving over the sweat makes for nice evaporative cooling.
(Albiet a little stinky). It also makes for easy on and off. Most of the
stich guys that I ride with are waiting around for the leathers guys to get
going.

So your question to yourself is: "Hmm. Which is less expensive? A
stich, or one of those lab grown skin grafts?"
