GTS Listers

Can anyone help me with the Yamaha key part number for a '93 GTS 1000?

I only have one and my friendly dealers can't find me an OEM Yamaha
blank without it.  I've been to three dealers so far and no luck.

 I have been told to remove my ignition to get the code off the cylinder
but that seems a bit extreme to me at this stage.
