You know, even as I was reading Robert's post, I felt like I was at a
"Lifetime Achievement Award" ceremony and actually started to get a
little misty eyed. It almost sounded as if Robert was trying to retire
from the group, but of course, we won't have ANY of that. (See end of
message.)
I've only been on this list for the last 3+ years, but man, what a bunch
of good natured, good humor, helpful group of riders. (Ok, people. Who
happen to ride bikes. Really cool bikes.)
I hope we can only carry the torch half as well as Robert.
That being said,

As it should be.
And while you 'claim' to be remiss on your site, I have to say,
personally speaking, it was/still is the premiere source of GTS
material. I have scoured your site countless times in the past for any
little nugget of wisdom or smidgen of insight about our bikes and
believe me, it is the definitive source of knowledge.

I am humbled by your offer, (particulary the pillage part ;^), and I'll
only take what you want me to. You do realize, of course, that there
will be a dedicatory page to your efforts and pioneering spirit
concerning the website creation of GTS'sdom. I thank you in advance and
with much humility.

Of course. As if there were any question. :^)

And they WILL be given all the credit due on the credits page.
Guareeeenteed! (sp) (Do you like how I make work for myself?)
This is one of the big 'reasons' I can not take credit for what has
transpired here before. There are so many people that have contributed
in so many ways that I feel a simple 'thank you' does not even begin to
scratch the surface. It is effort beyond what I could/would do. Again,
in advance, we thank you all, for your efforts.

Great!

Hey, I didn't get mine until 96 either. And I barely knew what an
Enternet is.
Heh.
I'm still learning but my true intent is to contribute to the group in
some way that would be beneficial to us all via the Internet. Since I
know just enough to be dangerous, I thought this would be a good avenue.
I have come to realize over all this time, that there is a pretty swell
group of folks on this list, willing to help out in ways that, more or
less, would be what family would do for each other.
By the way, Robert, don't think you are getting off easy here. We will
all expect more input and stories from you since you won't have to spend
any more time maintaining the website! :^)
Best regards and looking forward to the challenge,
Brandon
