As a member of the GTS Touring Society, your site has recently become a hot
topic of discussion. First and foremost, thank you for your initial support
of our global riding group. We have approximately 350 fanatic bike owners
in our group (who have lots of friends with other types of bikes...) and it
is not uncommon for us to combine our purchasing into bulk orders of 10-25
units at a time. We are also mostly a bunch of techno geeks (you'd have to
be with the GTS right?!) that forward good service and support stories
throughout the net...so I encourage you to continue your great efforts....it
helps all of us involved.
Now I have a question for you!
I have recently decided it's time to replace most of the plastic on my 93
GTS-1000. In the past we have discovered "kits" of parts (front swingarm
protector for example) that are made available by Yamaha that are
significantly less than the separate components (the swing arm kit is about
$90 verses $189 for example). Can you check with your sources and see if
Yamaha offers a complete kit for the plastic on the bike at a reduced rate?
Or secondly, if we posted a message to the group, would a discount apply if
we pooled our global purchasing power for the complete set or sub
components?
