I propose we let this thread rest. 

Obviously, there are strong feelings on both sides of the camp. If there
is anything to say at all on this issue, I believe it would be that the
loss of life in ANY situation is always a sad affair. (Motorcycle
related, that is. No need to start another thread on that Texas thing.)

Moving on, has anyone actually gone the other way with a chain/sprocket
conversion to a smaller counter-sprocket and/or a larger rear sprocket?
And if so, was there a significant increase in acceleration? You know,
able to keep with those 'ratty' R1's?  LOL
