The rubber covers are supposed to be held on by small black
washers/fasteners that fit tightly
over those "penis" things. I have found that they fall off easily, or were
never installed at the factory/dealer. I had one of those covers replaced
under warrentty because it appeared that the nipples were not formed
correctly, and did not fit snugly in the hole, causing it to come out
easily. It was not until much later when I had the opposite side off that I
discovered the black fasteners. It is like a 1 cent part, but it does NOT
come with covers. Without the fasteners, I have no idea how to keep them in
place. Maybe some RTV on the inside, but make sure not to damage the paint.

Those stupid little rubber triangle covers on the sides (by one's knees)
keep
falling off. I was going to put a dab of silicone on the little
penis-looking things to keep it in the little holes, as they keep falling
out
because the hole is too big (it's not that the penis-looking thing is too
small. Freud would have so much to say). Will this work/better ideas? I'd
leave them off, but a lot of heat comes through there that I'd rather keep
off my knees.
