I just found a site on the web at www-fars.nhtsa.dot.gov/ It is unreal
as it gives all the government accident data on cars , trucks and
motorcycles. You will be amazed that some of the states that show the
lowest motorcycle accident rates are the highest for cars ,and vice
versa. The safest state for bikes currently is Vermont with four wrecks
per 100,000 bikes . California and Florida are the worst places to ride
with 200 wrecks per every 100,000 bikes. Arkansas and Mississippi are
the worst places to drive a car. I do not wish to bring up a downer like
this, but if you play the percentages and know the facts, you are always
way ahead.
