Jay, there are pictures of the new Yamaha Tourers in a german magazin...

A.) A 1000 cc "Fazer" wich is, more or less, a half faired touring R1. Thats
more on the sports, then touring side of live.

B.) A 1300 cc "FJ 1300" New V - Engine, 1300 cc, fuel injection. Looks like
a Honda Pan European to my eyes. That would be the follow up for the FJ
Bikes and the GTS. IT has a fork. And as far as I could hear about, no ABS,
no Catalyzer.

On my point of view Yamaha is falling back into stone age. There is a market
for big sport touring bikes in Europe - but with much more intelligent
technologie. Rumors told us, that all Euro Countrys are working on new
laws - building 1300 cc bikes without Catalyzer doesn't sound too clever to
me.

A Yamaha person at Laguna Seca confirmed a sport tourer liter bike is

He said there would be two, one of which will come to the U.S.
