My GTS will need a new set of chain & sprockets some time next year. Now =
placing the OEM will probably work fine, but I wonder what would happen =
if I put on a larger sprocket in front and a smaller on the rear. It =
makes sense that the bike will run faster, but I wonder what the effect =
would be on the engine and gearbox. Those parts will have to handle more =
stress and strain. In what manner would thid affect wear and tear ? Is =
the GTS constructed to handle the extra strain or will this lead to =
serious repair shop bills.
In what way will the acceleration be affected, other than being a little =
slower when taking off from a complete stop?
Will chain and sprockets wear out faster?
Anyone?
