Brake Pad Replacement

Guys,
When replacing the brake pads, is it really necessary to replace those
spring clips or support pads (as Yamaha calls them)
The price for this simple spring clip is $22 for the front brake!
And, thats at PowersportsPro.

By the way, the service manual also recommends replacing the broke hoses
every 2 years. Who here has done that? I've never seen mention of it on
the list.

But those spring clips for the brakes gotta be reusable right?
