Hey all,
During the extended downtime of the Elektro-based GTS list, I brought the
GTS list up on a site called www.egroups.com, a free group hosting
facility. I've solicited the opinions of the group members I could reach
and have considered the two options.
I have decided to move the list to the eGroups site. Some of the reasons
for this choice are:
Automatic removal of MIME encoded stuff.
Much easier list management for me. :-)
Group file sharing space
Group shared calendar (good for organizing GTS rides)
A chat room
Easy to access archives
A page for web links folks would like to share to the group
I have asked Charlie, the admin of Elektro, to configure the mail alias,
gts-1000@elektro, to reply to messages with a statement informing folks of
the list change. Please share this information with your friends who are
missing from our group.
I would like to personally thank Charlie Smith for his willingness to host
our list out of the kindness of his heart. For those who don't know him,
Charlie is a long time motorcyclist and a good friend.

To join gts1000:
Send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Unsubscribe from a group:
Send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Put your email message delivery on hold for a group:
Send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Change your subscription to daily digest mode:
Send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Change your subscription to individual emails:
Send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Also, your account can be managed via the web at www.egroups.com, if you
so choose. For those who choose not to, simply send me a direct e-mail
explaining what you need done and I'll manually change your subscription
status for you.
For those of us to maintain GTS related web-pages, could you please either
retain the link to www.arches.uga.edu/~weaver/gtsmail.html (which is
updated now) or refer to the new list address.
