It's not really necessary. It's real simple to do. The glue Yamaha used
comes off  easily. My air cleaners came apart real easy.I scraped the
residual glue with an exacto knife. I just cut the R1 filter (I used a big
scissor)to length and replaced the OEM element.I didn't  remove the rubber
ends either.Then I resealed it with the black RV stuff,taped it together &
let it set.The next day voila,done.Peter Piazza
