Well, have just returned to Oz form 2 weeks in UK, just north of London, and 2 weeks in Cape Town and the Northern Provence in South Africa. I was 20 yards from a giraffe yesterday on a hunting farm, and saw warthog, impala, water buck and mongeese as well. Also saw my grandson of 4 months for the first time..he's very good looking, just like his grandfather!!? However, UK was wet, cold and miserable, as one expects in England at this time of year, and RSA (Republic of South Africa) is in my view a dangerous place, as the white population leave in droves as they are burgled, harassed and stood over. Every house in the suburb we stayed in at Cape Town had an "Armed Security" sign on it, and high fences with sliding doors for the cars to get onto the street. Table Mountain, and the vineyards were superb. Flight time from Johannesburg to Sydney 11 1/2 hours. Looking forward to riding my newly ABSed GTS again, and to catching up with the latest on the list! Regards, Rob Chapman
