Put lithium grease on the nubs and spread the spring clips a little with
needle nose pliers. Align the mirror with the tabs and WHACK it with the
open palm of your hand directly towards the fairing. This is a nerve
racking process as you swear it's going to break! It won't. It's kind of
like removing the faceshield on a Arai Quantum/E. Seriously, reach back and
give that mirror a hard shot with your open palm towards the fairing. That
will probably get one or two of the three nubs secured, another shot with
the hand should secure the third.

Hi,

Spent all of Sunday stripping off the body work from my GTS, cleaning the
entire bike and putting the body work back on, now with the new panel,
indicator and mirror etc.

Its all done and my GTS is gleaming, never to be ridden again! I'll just
sit
and polish it.

However I cannot get my new mirror to clip onto its bracket. I have put as
much force as I dare on to the mirror and it just wont clip on. I have
tried
removing the little ring springs that surround the 3 locking tabs but this
doesn't help.

What's the trick?

Regards,

David
