I use Mobil 1 (auto) exclusively in my car, GTS, Venture Royale,
and Vmax. I guarantee the Vmax is harder on clutches than any other
vehicle in my stable, and the Venture is harder on a clutch than
the GTS. No slippage in any clutch or starter clutch.
Incidentally, for those keeping score on my GTS engine issues:
They determined that the rings had seated properly. In fact,
other than the trench (not scratch, not groove) they put into
the cylinder when reassembling the motor, the parts were
gorgeous.
And the starter clutch failure that caused the engine tear-down
in the first place wasn't oil-related. When I get the bike back
I'll be breaking it in with Yamalube for somewhere around 3000
miles.
