Henry, good work. The note from Snell was very enlightening.
So, they would test one if a manufacturer would submit it. Does that mean
that manufacturers are afraid that the helmet would fail, and that an
untested helmet is better (i.e., more marketable) than a tested and failed
helmet?
Still, I suspect these helmets would certainly protect very well. And any
helmet has its limits....all the talk of Earnhardt has glossed over the
very effective helmet and seatbelt that Seyna was wearing a few years ago,
when his head literally exploded inside the intact helmet.
