Good morning GTS'ers out there. I wish to thank you all for your input ,
advice & help with my GTS. Very special thanks to Kevin Hawkins for the
Lockhart tinted shield. (So, far this has been the hardest (special) item
for me to find up here in Canada). The ABS HU rebuild is awesome. It worked
out great. You guys are the greatest. I picked up my GTS in NOV 2000. I've
been waiting for it since the spring of 1997 (for the former owner to
finally let it go). I never looked at her before .But somehow I knew that
she was a beauty & worth the attention she would demand. My winter plan has
worked out pretty well. I took her all apart, cleaned & scrubbed everything,
lubed her vital organs, checked out her heart. Ordered parts that needed to
be.Now she's back in 1 piece . I was waxing her up this weekend. She's
sparkling now. What a major difference compared to a few months ago. Doing
all that work, I must say. I fell in love with this bike. I'm never letting
her go.Now I'm getting prepared for the engine job. I would like to pose a
question on this, if I may? This is a GTS & not like any of my other
motorcycles. Would it be more appealing to concentrate on all out power &
performance? Or, would it be more appealing to concentrate on staying more
original & brand loyal? I ask because I would like to stay with theme of the
GTS & I didn't really get her for the power.(But I have to do the engine). I
want to tour around & go to far places with her(eventually), carry luggage &
a passenger. Riding of this nature, rather than speed . Although power is
not a bad thing. I'm sure she has plenty in stock form. Since you guys are
my mentors, I figured you would be the best guide , so I can focus on doing
it right. Thanks again. Peter Piazza
