The Black Gold BMW club that I belong to here in Edmonton, Alberta has a
ride every year called the Alberta 2000. And yes, you've got it right...a
minimum of 2000kms in 24hrs. There are several checkpoints throughout and
the ride is geared on a point system so as do encourage safe riding rather
than high speeds (although if you want you can get extra points by
accumulating more distance between the checkpoints). The top mileage rider
last year had over 3400kms but didn't win the rally. It's really quite a
ride and is allot of fun to participate in. I'm helping with the timing and
checkpoints this year, but next year I hope to ride it as a milestone in my
riding career. If anyone's interested let me know and I can get more info.

Daren

I've never heard of a 24hr endurance ride. This is probably a stupid
question....You actually ride for 24hours straight?
