Who knows...could be just a typo (the abs entry). But then again...they have
the technology....than can make the FJR Better than it was before :)
Re: Price, this is from the FJR list (@ yahoogroups.com) Feb 9th..
"An earlier article in MCNews talks about how the FJR is being shipped
lacking a few accessories (like the hard luggage). Article is Feb 3rd
(Earlier news).
They say that the price is GBP 9599, which as of yesterday, translated into
$14024. Now, knowing that bike prices are a bit higher over there than they
are here, I compared the US price to the UK price for the Blackbird
(ok..Redbird this year). $10,999 American, and $12,687. So MAYBE, if
things don't get too wacky the FJR will be maybe $12,500ish. I hope?
Ugh.

So looks like if you buy in England, you'll probably end up paying more than
if it ever makes it Stateside. But then again, you'll have one and I won't
(you bastard :).
>From the reports I've heard so far, it hasn't arrived in the UK yet. Someone
took delivery in the Netherlands near Amsterdam, so they can't be far off.
The whole price issue brings to mind a new theory about why Yamaha hasn't
brought the FJR to the US yet. They don't know how to price it. They want to
charge as much as they can get away with, they just don't know how much that
is. Instead of going too high and having another US flop on their hands,
they'll just wait for the competition. So my guess is whenever the new Honda
ST or Kawasaki's rumored ST comes to the US, that's when the FJR will hit US
shores...for 500 less :)
