Wouldnt it be great if there was a web site that all motorcyclists could go
to find out what other motorcyclist thought about motorcycle specific
products such as helmets, gloves, boots, etc.?

Well now there is . . .

Point your browser to http://www.motorcyclegearreview.com and take a look.

This site has just gone live so what it needs most right now is for
motorcyclists to write reviews of products they own and use. Click on any
category; find a product you own and write a review which will be posted in
real-time. Try to consider what kinds of information other motorcyclists
who will be reading your review would find helpful. Also, be sure to read
the "Terms of Use" before submitting a review.

Why this site was built . . .

As a motorcyclist who belongs to many motorcycle related mailing lists I
often see people make requests for product information. They want to know if
anyone on the list has had any experience with a particular product.
Generally there are a few helpful responses that answer the request. I got
to thinking that wouldnt it be great if there was a way to "capture" these
kinds of product reviews, a kind of online database of product reviews
written by motorcyclist for motorcyclists. For example, if I was considering
plunking down my hard earned money on a pair of boots, but first I wanted
insights on what my fellow riders thought about the new pair of Alpinestars
boots I was considering purchasing I could just go over to
www.motorcyclegearreview.com and click "boots", then "Alpinestars GP", and
read the reviews written by other motorcyclists who have experience with
them.

While I was there I could write my own review of the helmet and gloves I
bought a year ago, and by doing so I would be helping out my fellow
motorcyclists make an important buying decision.

So what are you waiting for . . . go check it out and use the contact links
at the bottom of every page to send me some feedback, suggest a product or
even to just curse me out for spaming the list.

Again, the two things this site needs most at this stage are motorcyclists
submitting reviews of products they use, and any suggestions you guys might
have to improve the site. Feel free to cross post this to any other lists
you might know of. The more reviews written the more useful the site will be
to everyone.

Thanks for your time,

David Cross
