I'm not sure if anyone answered this for you. Your PDF file type is no
longer associated with Adobe Reader. Easiest thing to do is download the
latest version 4.0x from
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/alternate.html, and install it. It
will re-associate itself with the PDF format and you'll be up to date on
Reader.

If you currently have Reader installed you can re-associate the PDF format
to reader by doing the following: go to START/PROGRAMS/WINDOWS EXPLORER.
Click on VIEW menu selection, then FOLDER OPTIONS, then FILE TYPES tab. See
if there is a listing for the file type ADOBE ACROBAT DOCUMENT. If there
is, then the following information needs to be in the fields:

Description of Type: Adobe Acrobat Document

Content Type (Mime): Application/PDF

Default Extension: .PDF (the period is part of the extension)

Actions: OPEN (in bold)
                Print
                Printto

If the info is in the fields, then my guess is that you have a corrupt
installation of Adobe Reader and you should de-install the old one and then
re-install it (you can download the current version from the link above).

If the info is not there and you have a copy of Reader on your system, then
you will have to re-associate.
to do that, click NEW TYPE and fill in the blanks with the above data. When
done, click OK

Hope this helps!
