I would say,  yes I feel it does a difference, but to be sure, a would need to do a DB 
meter test. The Theory was, if you let some air in front : 1 : Less air will go around 
and up the shield, 2 - By reducing the pressure difference in between the calm air of 
the
bubble and the air outside of the protective area of the windshield would reduce the 
buffering.

I used a gold wing vent that I had to cut in the middle to accomodate the higher curve 
of the GTs windshield. It's not very pretty upclose. I thing that the vent from 
clearview would probably fit better.
