I have had the BSM carbon fiber canister for a little over a year.
I don't know if it increases power - hard to tell from seat of the pants
- but the visceral feeling from the sound definitely makes it seem
faster.
Like any fiberglass packed muffler, it is starting to get louder with
age. When new it was within a few decibels of the stock muffler.
It is definitely lighter - 4 lbs including the 'S' pipe vs. 14 lbs for
the stocker.
It also bolts right on, even has a tang for the center stand stop and is
lower mounted so works with the Krauser bags.

I saw a note recently that he no longer makes the extenders for the GTS
mirrors, but does sell modified BMW R 1100 S mirrors that you can see on
his homepage.
