While blowing the doors off of a couple ZX6's, two R-1's a CBR 929 and a Duc 900 SS this week in the N. Ga. mountains, I had the displeasure of having the GTS quit running on me. To make a long story short, the ignition fuse had a crack in the filament. A hair line crack mind you. The GTS would start and run for a moment then quit again. When I got a test light to it while it was not starting, I found power to one side of the fuse but not the other. Replacing the fuse solved the problem. The one thing I did not notice until after replacing the fuse was that when the fuse was not making contact and I turned the key on, the yellow engine light would not glow. I submit this as a tip to you all that if you have a no start condition check to see if the engine light comes on when you turn the key on. The Red/White wire out of the fuse block supplies power to the starter relay and also the engine stop switch. After coming out of the engine stop switch, it goes through a connector and becomes a Red/black wire which goes to a relay for the ECU. Hopefully no one will ever experience this, but if you do, maybe this will help. It also reminds me to never trust visual inspections of fuses. This is not the first fuse I have seen that appeared good at first glance but proved to be no good. RSRBOB
