Remove Catalytic converter,Increase horsepower?

Has anyone tried removing the catalytic converter and installed a 4-1 exhaust system 
and tested the horse power.

By the way,has anyone tried installing BSM exhaust without the catalytic converter and 
into a 4-1 exhaust system
