Everytime my GTS becomes sensitive to throttle on/off, it's because the
chain is loose. Also, yes there is a throttle cable adjustment built-in on
one of the cables about 6 inches after it leaves the throttle housing on
the grip.

Just got back from the Tar Butt Rally during which several little
mechanical quirks on the GTS have shown up.
I hate to give myself a plug....but the HawkeOiler is the best way to keep
that chain lubed on a GTS. It never missed a beat and very little over
spray. I have received a half dozen orders now for a second one from guys
that own two chain drive bikes.....I take that as the best endorsement.
Back to my inquiry......
1. Riding up in short rain storm the bike developed an high speed miss
under load, like the spark was jumping. It went away as quickly as it came
when the rain stopped. Any one need to change plug wires yet? It might
just need new wires and plugs. Any thoughts are welcome on the cause and
waterproofing. I'd hate to have it crap out during a long wet ride at 3
AM.
2. The throttle is getting very abrupt between shutoff and on, it snaps and
causes more chain jerk than normal. Is there an adjustment in the cable
and
throttle body?
It is over due for a valve adjustment.....any recommended good mechanics
within a 200 mile radius around St. Augustine. I have little faith in the
local boys. I should probably do it myself, but I've gotten a little
overloaded with other projects.
