You have to take this in the context of Yamaha and their V twin line up.
Consider this, the 1600 cc Yamaha Road Star make quite a bit less
horsepower
than the bulldog. It may not be what we call a sport tourer, but it does
make
HP than the 1600 cruiser. Also, again, it gets back to what they can sell
in
serious numbers. The cruiser style of bike is dominating the market and
sales
forces them to stay in that general vicinity. Doesnt look like we have to
worry about it in the US for another year anyhow. Yamaha has their new
models
on their website, other than the R-1 and R-6 and the Bulldog is not in the
line up.
