It was fun. You should have been there.
Can I join the SA Association now? ;^)
Five of us rode in together (Robert Wilson, Dave Biasotti, Kelly Cash, Don
McClellen and I) Alan Parker was there, although we never saw his bike and
only visited with him briefly. There was a fellow on a GTS from
Pennsylvania who knew nothing about a GTS Rally. He just likes trials and
rode out. Kelly is contacting him to get him on the list. He was curious
about oil consumption. He was going through a quart in like 500 miles. But
then he admitted to riding at sustained xxx mph. We were wondering how he
kept his license intact if he rode like that on a regular basis.
The trials riders were awesome. These guys were the best in the world. The
Americans were also rans at this particular event. The course was really
challenging--seemed that way to me anyway. I can see why Robert enjoys the
sport.
We rode some fun roads and had a great time getting better acquainted.
Phil, you should have taken me up on my offer. Next time...
Roger
