Congratulations Barry.....sounds like you got a great buy on top of a great
bike...what color is a 1995? Your input to the list will be invaluable.

Finally put my money where my mouth is and bought my GTS tonight.
Paid �2850 for a 1995 model with 19,000 miles on the clock. By every
indication this appears to be the genuine mileage. At least the previous
MOT's bear this out.
I turned up a couple of faults, trying to bid the guy down a touch. The
bearing connecting the rear shock to the linkage has excessive play and
wants replacing. The rest of the bearings in the linkage will need looking
over too I suppose. This is all normal stuff for an FJ owner.
Also one of the 'isolastic' vibration counter weights on the handle bars was
missing. Other than AFAIK she seems sound.
Many thanks to those that have helped me make this decision. I'm looking
forward to picking the bike up later this week, as unfortunately the cheque
will have to clear before the goods are handed over !
