Mike,

Good luck solving the tire cupping issue. My GTS had a cupped Macadam on it
when I bought 1 1/2 years ago. I replaced the tire with another Macadam
within two months of owning it and here, a little over a year and 6K miles
later, the tire is cupped again. I'll be looking at the Michelin Pilot or
another cross-pattern tread tire in the future. I believe the cupping may
be inherent to the GTS. All comments are welcome.

Subject: New GTS

Hi all,
Just got my "new" GTS last Sunday, took it to W. Va. for a week. Rode
the wheels off it! Put over 500 miles on it(I had trucked it there-
know better now!). Should have over 1,000 miles on it by next week. So
far, so good! It took a little while getting used to it, as I was
accustomed to heavy engine braking from V-twins. Anyway, I like the
smooth power delivery, and the comfy ergonomics. I dislike the funky
fuel filler tube, and lack of 6th gear. There is also a gear-like
"whine" from the engine when it's cold, and dissapears after a minute or
so?? Also, how the hell to do wheelie this thing??!! The front tire
appears to be cupping a bit, so I'll look into adjusting the front end
camber/alignment? I was at a CBX rally, and the GTS was definitely a
HIT! Test rides for many who "always liked that bike/wanted to ride
one". Anyway, the GTS works well in the tight stuff, and was a treat on
the commute to work as well. Thanks to this list for all the
preliminary info, and continuing knowledge and camaraderie!

Thanks!
