George with dirty finger nails, you should consider using mechanic's gloves
(basically heavy duty surgical gloves) to protect your hands from
carcinogenic fluids used in the automotive industry. I used to do
everything bare-handed, and loved getting dirty doing it, but not any more.

In fact, what I do is go to Costco and buy 10 or 20 pairs of latex kitchen
gloves and cut them off at the wrist. When they break when I'm pulling them
off then I toss them and start a new pair. You can get the surgical type of
gloves from Aerostich Rider Warehouse.
