I'm helping to organize yet another trackday at Virginia International Raceway (South course) http://www.virclub.com for Monday,September 10! I would love to see some more GTS riders participate. The track is located just outside of Danville, VA. and is awesome! The AMA will be running a full race weekend there for the first time later this year. Cost: $175, $150 if you are a past participant! Bike Prep: http://www.classrides.com/faq.html#prep Rider Prep: http://www.classrides.com/faq.html#gear This is NOT an open track day! It is patterned after Pridmore's CLASS sessions and we had a wonderful event on May 14 that came off without a hitch. We'll be running three groups of around 15 riders and everyone will be asked to place themselves in one group; Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. Instruction will be provided to the Novice riders who might be riding on the track for the first time or simply want to take it easy. A riding skills manual will be mailed/emailed to these participants a few weeks prior to the event. Passing will only be allowed on the straights for this group. The intermediate group will be for those who have attended track days before, but might not be comfortable riding with R1s and really fast riders. Passing will be allowed on the straights and the outside of corners. There will be a group coordinator, but no formal training provided unless asked for by the individuals. The Advanced group will experienced riders and racers who might otherwise attend open track days. The passing rules are the same as the intermediate group with NO STUFFING allowed. No formal training will be provided, but a group coordinator will be on the track. Each group with be on the track for 20 minutes and rest for 40 min. This usually results in about 5 sessions for the day. Believe me, that's all you can handle. You'll be exhausted! Any other questions?
