I agree that the surge is a result of a mapping program. I fully believe the
fuel curve is lean which causes the surge. George and I have experimented
with moving the TPS and found that it does relocate the surge which can be a
benefit to certain riding conditions or styles. Running the GTS on an Eddy
Current dino with EGA capabilities would pin point the nature of the problem.
FWIW, Pat ran his R-6 on one Saturday and got a data sheet with mixture
readouts at every 1000 RPM. Although knowing exactly why the GTS surges like
it does would be nice, unless we can do something about it, it is about
useless information.
