I know the general manager of a large Yamaha/other bike dealer here in the
DC area, so I queried him.  Here's his response:

"I hadn't heard that Yamaha was going to import the FJR1300, but it looked
like it may do well when I saw it in Munich last fall. I don't think I'll
take any deposits until I have firm orders from Yamaha."
