I finally found the original post see below. I was the one who offered the
Eprom burner given a master chip or the code in binary or hex formats.
Making the Eproms is the easy part, getting the code or master chip will be
the difficult part. Anyone in the Netherlands willing to inquire about this
and post the final word from Yamaha?
Since RSRBOB has no knowledge of this one and since the original post was
about a '96 GTS EPROM, inquiries in the USA I'm sure will be fruitless.

Translation of second part is same as in the posting:

If you drive with 3500rpm in second gear, the engine acts sometimes as if it
stalls for a moment.
This stays this way until you increase the throttle.
It seems that YAMAHA has a new EPROM (software in an IC) which has to be
replaced in the blackbox for the ignition/injection. The problem was solved
with the new EPROM.....
At the MotorRAI at Amsterdam he talked to the people of YAMAHA Netherlands
were he addressed the problem. YAMAHA would look in to it. After a while
YAMAHA replaced this EPROM with the new one (if they replaced the complete
ECU I don't know, I think so, and send the old one back to the factory for
update). Problem solved.

Maybe its possible for your local YAMAHA dealer to contact YAMAHA
Netherlands for further information, and if it's available in you country.

I tend to agree with Grant, though I'm not as familiar with this as
others are. I know there were some discussions a while back about accessing
the EPROM, but I don't remember what the end result was. I think somebody
offered up an EPROM reader/programmer. The first step, of course, would be
to get the contents of the EPROM.

Do we know what specific processor is used to control the EFI? I've
done my share of decompilation/reverse engineering work in the past and
would offer up some time for this project.

Is there any possibility of getting the EPROM contents from Yamaha? I
know it's an extremely long shot, but you never know.
