Peter,
I've considered replacing the rear shock on mine with the Ohlins with the
remote preload adjuster. Is yours in this configuration or is that extra $.
I never really got a straight answer on this via email with Ohlins. Also
what was the current cost on the rear shock?
I think I can live with having the front one rebuilt but I would definitely
like to have the remote preload option on the rear. I go between one and two
up as well as loaded with luggage for trips and unloaded for commuting. The
stock shock preload adjuster is a PITA. usually I only up the preload when
two up just due to the difficulty in changing back and forth.
Thanks...Bob B.
BTW aren't the stock shocks suppose to be Ohlins?

Subject: Ohlins update

Well folks the long wait is finally over. I ordered my Ohlins shocks the
beginning of DEC.2000. I received the front in a couple weeks. The rear was
apparently on the way very shortly. After countless promises from Ohlins &
production schedules the rear is finally in. Apparently they got caught a
little off their guard. They somehow ran out of some special part that they
won't say exactly which one & they had to get a new shipment. Well they
claim that they stocked up on all the parts they need to make more. So I
guess if anyone was\is thinking of getting a complete set of Ohlins shocks
for their GTS this would probably be the right time. I'm glad my wait is
over. Ride safe. Peter Piazza
