Guys,

Took my GTS into my local dealer for a brake over haul and engine tweak.
Spent about half an hour explaining what I wanted to achieve and showed the
service manger copies of all the emails re CO settings and the butterfly /
Air screw debate.

These guys actually have the 4-1 CO testing kit so they were able to get my
reading down to 3.2% but no lower.

Anyway, I pick up my bike Friday evening and MY GOD does it feel good!!!!
The brakes are rock solid both front and rear with single finger braking a
real possibility.

As for the engine WOW!!! I can apply smooth acceleration and deceleration
with out the step in throttle control previously exhibited. And Oh the
pleasure of pottering in 2nd at 30MPH without doing my drunk Kangaroo
impression. It's like I've been given a whole new bike!!!! :^)

That was Friday afternoon, I only got a half hour spin on the way home so I
make plans to head out West towards Aberystwyth for a weekend of biking
pleasure.

Saturday, and the 1st 2 hours were bliss with a bike doing exactly what I
wanted. However after these 2 hours I notice that the step in Throttle
control is creeping back in, and 2 more hours later I'm back with a stepping
throttle and a surge at 3.2K rpm... ARSE!

Having seen how good this bike can be, its maddening to see it slip back to
old habits.

Sorry for the waffle guys. And idea what may have slipped out of tune so
quickly after being set-up so well?

Regards,

David "warming toward a K series"!
