I think that this is so - all the visible part codes on my UK-spec bike are prefixed 
4BH;  many of these parts (maybe including the ECU) must nonetheless be nearly or 
absolutely identical to parts fitted to US-spec bikes.

I'd guess therefore that there is some kind of Yamaha cross-reference system to show 
parts that are interchangeable between different models/markets.  Is anyone on the 
list familiar with such a system?
