Well, GTS's are very reliable. We are not really trying to convert anybody,
since listers are usually already owners. Other than ABS issues, there is
really not a "hot issue" on the bikes, perhaps excepting sensitivity to
certain tires. We love em !!

... so why don't you make be a great deal on one? :)

The funny part is that when I was browsing the archives of the list (which
is a damn dirty chore, I tell ya), I was looking for the typical troubles of
the bike, ABS failures, bearings in odd places, vibrations or anything that
just kept popping up as an annoyance.

EIther these bikes are very reliable or you guys are just afraid to talk
about the problems with these bikes. I couldn't find anything but the normal
ratio of problems, occational ABS, some bearings, valve adjustments etc.

Since I hail from years on the FJ list I've come to trust Yamahas
reliability and that was another reason to look to the GTS as an addition or
replacement for the 1987 FJ I have. The only real bummer is that I wish the
FJ had a 6th gear, which apparently can be fitted in the GTS engine..
*drool*.

Well well, soon enough I'll be on a GTS cruising the Santa Monica Mountains
in style and a seldom seen flair....

...instead of yapping in here with you guys. hehe
