For ages I've been unhappy with my Scottoiler not sucking oil over properly
from the HCR (touring reservoir) behind my number plate. A changeout of HCR
with reduced diameter feed tube (yellow) last year did not cure the problem.
Inserting a small length of tube into filler bung did not cure the problem.
A new filler bung did not cure the problem. A stripdown a couple of weeks
ago revealed that the RMV was cracked, just above the filler hole (feed from
HCR reservoir). Air leak = lack of capiliary action feed from HCR.

Scottoiler confirmed that they had had a few problems with older RMVs
cracking "because their plastic supplier changed the spec of the plastic
without them knowing". They kindly agreed to change out my (green) RMV for
the later (yellow) RMV.

A quick changeout and purge and I get to see the oil whizz over!!!! I only
managed to get a trickle at best in purge mode originally.

Thanks very much to the boys at Scottoiler!
