Subject: Is my GTS finally fixed???
I think so!! After being bothered by this gremlin for over
a year now, I think I finally found the root cause. Last
weekend I pulled the air box and tank so I could get a good
shot at cleaning ALL the electrical connectors. I did the
same thing last year, but had no effect. Later, I swapped
computers, TPS sensors, and the air pressure sensor... it
seemed that the TPS was bad. After a while the problem,
(intermittent diag code 13 and 15 and "hiccups") came back.
Sunday when I put the bike back together, this was no longer
an indermidient problem - it was a constant problem - which
was good.... meant that I could actually trace it. Turned
out that the blue wire was slightly pulled from the main
connector. This wire runs to the TPS and the air pressure
sensor. I rode the bike about 100 miles since then, the
diag 13, 15 and the hiccups "seem" to be gone.
So the moral to this story - if the computer(s) is reporting
a discontinuity, believe it. Trace the wires and check all
the connectors.
I recorded how sweet it sounds now:

I'm planning on heading up to Cherokee NC for the Rally Sept
7-9. If there's anyone that would like to meet me up there,
let me know. The riding is excellent - Bob, Bob, Kevin,
George???
