Help! You may remember that I said that my shop discovered that the output shaft
on my bike was stripped. I've just been told that the replacement output shaft
that drives the front sprocket is on backorder for US delivery until September
18. I'm scheduledto leave the US for Europe on the 20th for about a year (more
details to follow), and the plan was that I would ship the bike. I cannot change
my departure.
Can anyone help out in my search for a new or used (good condition) countershaft
for a GTS? Do you know of:
a used motor?
a dealer that might have one in stock?
anyone at Yamaha who could speed up the delivery?
a good prayer?
I have no problem with buying the part from a dealer outside the US if I can get
it here in time.
