Yeah, I just exchanged emails with our resident H-D employee (Steve G.)
and it's really a shame that this effort fell short. Steve notified me that
HD was operating this team on a shoestring budget compared to the other
factory teams. With HDs significant financial resources, why put forth a
half hearted effort? Another question that came to mind was the ol' adage
"Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday". HD doesn't REALLY sell a sportbike,
certainly NOT in the Superbike catagory. But don't sell HD short, I always
had until I saw their V-rod. This just in on the weather channel....there's
a cold front moving towards HELL!!
I don't need to start my own motorcycle company. I'm independently wealthy
from all the proceeds from Laurenson's HawkeOiler! :^) Hey! He's using my
name!!

Great... At least a team trying is better then none at all. I had hope for
them. Hey Kevin maybe you should start a motorcycle company....

Actually, maybe it's not such a serious note! Their factory AMA Superbike
team has been a joke all along! :^)
