Fred, the way to do this is with left hand drill bits. Start small and
gradually go to a larger bit. When you have removed enough metal the
drill will back the screw out. The most important part is getting the
first drill centered. I usually do this by grinding the head of the
screw down to a flat surface, and center punching the screwhead. Then
drill away. I have a set of Left Hand drill bits if you would like to
use them.
