Hi Guys,
Well it's been a great day.
Took my car in for service, and was killing time in town when the garage
phones to say that they'd need another 2 hours to fix all the new bits where
the old bits had dropped off.
So I'm stuck in Aylesbury with nothing to do just window shopping. I wander
into a large book store and pick up a "teach yourself to speak Japanese
book" I start to flick through and next thing I know I've bought it.
Anyway still 3 hours 'til my cars ready so I sit down in a new coffee bar in
town, and order the largest coffee they do. You know those half gallon
coke's you can buy at the cinema, the kind you could dunk a 5 year old kid
into ( and don't think I haven't considered it), well that's what this
coffee came in.
45 minutes later I'm on chapter 3 of this Lean to speak Japanese book, and
people are moving away from me in the cafe as I forget to keep my voice down
when I'm practising the pronunciation of several more complex
sentences....I am 5, hello, my name is David....where's the toilet in this
office block please...etc etc
So I've just chugged a pint of REAL coffee and the caffeine starts to kick
in. I think about my beautiful GTS sitting in the garage, and how I've meant
to fix that damn surging.
Well, cutting the ramble short I've done it.
Surge was present at 3.2K rpm TPS measured 0.8K !!!!!. Set tps to .39K and
bike is unrideable, set it to .59K and a sweeeeeeeet bike is she.
Off to Southampton tomorrow I think. I remember some good roads down there.
