If you ride long enough, experienced or not, you will eventually do a panic grab of the brakes. Ask Kevin Hawkins how that works on Triumph Daytonas (no ABS) when Bobcats run out in front of you...There are places where ABS helps as RSRBOB pointed out already...Bob B.
