I did a conversion from 532 to 530 chain, using an aftermarket sprocket.
The noise difference was quite noticable with the new sprocket being much
louder, more gear-like whine, but I got used to it after a while.

I dont know for certain, but I bet an OEM sprocket from a 530 chain FZR
would fit fine. Anybody actually done this ?

Subject: Countershaft Sprocket

I noticed that the stock GTS countershaft sprocket has rubber on the sides
to make it quieter. The aftermarket sprockets don't have the rubber. Does
anybody have experience to determine whether the rubber helps quiet the
drive? Also check that countershaft nut. It is loose if it has not been
tightened since leaving the factory!
