I am posting so that I can clarify what I need to order and to be sure I get the
right parts the first time.
From reading the list I can see that I can do a conversion to a 530 chain and
sprockets. I see that 118 links will work for the chain and the rear sprocket choice
is straight forward.
My question is about the front sprocket. The stock front sprocket has some sort of
damper in its construction that quiets noise. Is there a Yamaha manufactured front
sprocket in the 530 size that has this damper ? Does the FZR1000 stock front have
this? Is it available in a 530 size? Am I going to be limited to aftermarket
sprockets that are without this noise damper? Any light anyone can shed on this
would be great. The 530 chains are cheaper and have a much greater selection. But I
would like to keep drivetrain noise down to a minimum. TIA.
